Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026
Classic Woodworking & Vanity Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us. When you submit a consultation request, a dealer/trade enquiry, or any other form on this site, that may include:
- Your name and, for trade clients, your company name;
- Your contact details (email address, telephone number, city/area);
- Details about your project (room, dimensions, finishes, timing, budget and any notes or files you provide).
Like most websites, our hosting provider also automatically records limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (see Analytics below).
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation or quote;
- To design, build, deliver and service your cabinetry, and to communicate with you about your project;
- For trade accounts, to manage your dealer relationship and orders;
- To keep our site secure and improve how it works.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party services to run this website and process the information you send us — for example our website host, Google Analytics (site usage statistics) and the services that deliver and store form submissions. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it on servers located outside Canada (including in the United States). We share with them only what is needed to operate the site and respond to you.
Cookies & local storage
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies, described below. Our private dealer area uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in during your visit. Our own visit statistics (below) set no cookie: they keep only a short random visit code in your browser tab (cw_sid, removed when you close the tab) and, if you opt out, a note of that choice in local storage (cw_traffic_optout). You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TL0BMRQY7X) to count visits and see how the site is used — which pages are viewed, when a form is started or sent, and when our phone number or email link is tapped. To tell one visit from the next, Google sets first-party cookies on this site, such as _ga and _ga_TL0BMRQY7X. What you type into our forms — your name, email, phone number and message — is never sent to Google Analytics.
To opt out, block or clear these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Our own visit statistics
We also keep simple visit statistics on our own website host: the pages you view, the website, search engine or ad that sent you, links to other websites you click, the type of device and browser, its screen size, language and time-zone setting, and an approximate city worked out from your network address at the moment of the visit. They also note how long a page was open and how far down it you scrolled, whether you tapped our phone number or email, whether you started or sent a form (never what you typed into it), and how quickly the page loaded. We do not store your network address and we set no cookie for this. To count visitors we keep a code made from your network address and browser that changes every day and cannot be turned back into either. A short random code in your browser tab (removed when you close it) links the pages of one visit. If you send us a form, the visit that sent it is marked so we can see which pages lead to enquiries. Statistics are kept for 400 days (about 13 months), then deleted. To opt out, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or use the button below.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, where you become a customer or dealer, for as long as our business relationship and our legal and accounting obligations require. After that it is securely deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete it or stop contacting you. To make a request, or if you have any privacy questions or concerns, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
